Worst superhero movie of all time?
That’s what some critics are saying about the new reboot of Fantastic Four, which, despite very, very low expectations, seemed to surprise critics with just how bad it was. And how bad was it, you’re asking? Well the superhero reboot currently has an incredibly low 9% score on Rotten Tomatoes. So basically critics didn’t think it was too, um, fantastic. We rounded up the best slams of the movie, and we have to say, some of them get pretty harsh.

Vox:
“Fantastic Four is an unmitigated garbage fire.”
“The latest reboot of the Fantastic Four – the cinematic equivalent of malware – is worse than worthless. It not only scrapes the bottom of the barrel; it knocks out the floor and sucks audiences into a black hole of soul-crushing, coma-inducing dullness.”
“Ms. Mara disappears. Her character also has the power to make other things vanish. I would say she should have exercised it on this movie, but in a week or two that should take care of itself.”
“The rot runs deep, and nobody is immune.”
“It’s shockingly humorless and glacially slow for a film featuring a bendy boy genius, an invisible woman, a human torch, and a talking pile of stones.”
“This is the summer’s worst movie.”
“Frankly, it’s amazing this is watchable at all.”

But perhaps the Boston Globe said it best:
“Oh, well – they can always reboot.”
